Giveaway: Rivet & Sway

Teenagers. They want everything, and they want it now, and they want you to pay for it. So when my daughter Madeleine -- who has long been opposed to appearing on this website -- found out she could get some new glasses just for having her picture taken, she was suddenly VERY INTERESTED in appearing on this website. And, guess what? I'm giving a pair away to one of y'all, too! Hooray!

I am so pleased to be working with Rivet & Sway for this giveaway -- I love the company and its inspiring story about figuring out who you want to be. And now, we get to help Mad choose the kind of glasses she wants to be (wearing on her face). All you have to do to enter the giveaway is leave a comment with your vote for which frames she should choose. I will pick a comment at random next week, and announce the winner and the winning frames of Madeleine then, too. Fun! Let's do this.

Punchline: Whether it’s Babs singing “Don’t Rain on My Parade!,” Liz Lemmon’s dating disasters or every single second of Madeline Khan in Blazing Saddles, funny girls are the ideal meld of beauty and brains. With bold angels and fearless personality, The Punchline nails home your message with class.

Spitfire: Our homage to the strong women of the world who speak their minds, aren’t afraid to stand up for what’s right, and live large and loud. The Spitfire’s bold and progressive style is a definitive look for the woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it.

Poetic License: Dedicated to all the artists, poets and culture-bending creatives who’ve changed the world with their fresh perspectives and vibrant approach. Round frames have come full circle again, and our Poetic License is ready to inspire a new generation of visionaries to speak their truth.

So, what say you, Internet? You have until Friday at midnight EST to cast your vote. Leave your big opinions in the comments!

PS. A big thank you to Rivet & Sway for being awesome!

definitely punchline (you had me on the babs reference alone, i mean, c'mon)! it's trendy, as the other two are, but it's the one most likely to stay in style. and maybe it bears some resemblance to the frames i wear, hmm...;) it's classic, cool, and simple...and she looks good! :3

First pair! There is nothing better than square lenses-- they are universally flattering, perpetually stylish, and make you look and feel pulled together.

Punchline! And I'll take a pair of those, too. So cute.

Gotta be Punchline.

I like punchline as well, although I think Mad rocks the Poetic License ones, too.

Punchline. All. The. Way.

For a girl going off to college soon, Poetic License screams "Hey, I'm a cute co-ed" at me.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDona
I went back and forth between Punchline and Poetic License, but I think I've landed on Punchline because they're sassy but also classic. She seems like a lot of fun, you must be really proud of her. :)

Spitfire! They're so cute!

Crap, man. The last time I visited this site she was about 13. And now she's all growed up! Which means I, too, am old. Hell.

What? Oh, the glasses. I vote for Punchline! Those are super-flattering to the shape of her face. She rocks all three, though!
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJR
I'm totally swayed by her facial expressions, and assume they mean she prefers Poetic License. TEENAGERS SHOULD HAVE WHAT THEY WANT AT ALL TIMES! (Right?)

I live in Canada so I probably don't qualify, but I still would like to vote Punchline! They are by far the best I think :)
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterEmily R
my vote goes to the punchline
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSilvia
Punchline. You'll wear those forever.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDianneS
I vote Punchline, but in neopolitan. Does that count? She is cute in all three, though, so she can't make a wrong choice!

I vote for Spitfire!
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKristen
It's very close between Spitfire and Punchline. Maybe Spitfire just to be a little different.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDanielle
They all look great! Spitfire is my choice.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSheila
Punchline is super cute

I'm into the Spitfire!
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterHolly F.
I'm busy trying not to be jealous that they all look great on her, but I will take a quick break from that to vote for Poetic License.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterShannon
Punchline!
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBrandy
Wow, these are all super cute. While I love the tortoise frames on the poetic license, think I'm gonna have to go punchline on this one, too. Hooray for cute glasses!
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMargaret
Voting for the first pair; I think are super flattering. but I do love the coloring of the 3rd pair on her.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKaitlin
Ok so I basically am wearing Punchline right now, but I vote Spitfire. They have a lot of personality, but they don't overwhelm her face (or draw too much attention to themselves) - they just look SO CUTE and make her look both older, but in a good way, not in a "I'm going to regret these bangs when I'm look at pictures of myself in 10 years" kind of way.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKristina
Punchline....so cute!
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterErin Miller Tosspon
I vote for Poetic License.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterCasey
poetic license! Of course I'm biased because I don't like the current trend for huge frames.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered Commenteranotherkate
First off - GIRL they ALL look good! Go you!

But I vote Punchline: hip and also classic, and they'd help give you a little "punch" on sleepy days...
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAnalise
Punchline

Poetic License! They look fabulous on her!!
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAnne
Punchline -- they're fun, edgy and smart and seem to suit her face best.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAbbe
I hate to be a sheep - but yep, punchline are the cutest.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterCass
Punchline. (as chosen by my 20 year old and 16 year old boys....)
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterNiki
Poetic License! AND on a odd note - I wish I had her eyebrows. :-) The arch is perfect. Pretty girl!
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAshley
Poetic License!
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterhaley
Punchline! My goodness ... I wish my eyebrows were that impeccably groomed!
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMelissa
She looks like she is most comfortable in the Poetic License. I like the tortoise shell color and the lightness of the frames.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSara C
I like the Punchline.
January 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDanielle
Love these options, and it's a fierce competition between Punchline and Poetic License! I'll go with the latter.
