And now, presenting this year's Fall Uniform. It's a little different than the Elegant Cowgirl of past seasons. I'm going a little more monochromatic, a little more edgy, a little more... COLD. I'm really into the slouchy-pantsed, layered look that's happening. Also: short dresses, tights, wool socks, and boots. Because now I live in Canadia.

Vince Paper Leather Scuba Jacket

I am also yearning for a leather jacket. Here is my money-is-no-object pick. If you are my rich uncle, please get in touch. I'd also take this one. It's on "sale."

Oh, hello. Are you a super-awesome expert knitter? Perhaps you know one? Because I would really like to have this blanket happening in my life, but I cannot find one anywhere that is as perfect. And, really, what is a blog for if not to find a stranger on the Internet from whom to commission work? I ask you.

Are you the knitter for me? Hit me in the comments.

In other news:

I spied this little ring today via Design*Sponge's IG feed, and now I feel I must have one. Or two. Or maybe ten. Is ten nine too many? Maybe.

This has been today's edition of "Things AB Chao Wants and/or Needs Immediately." Enjoy!

Do y'all know about Storyville? If you do not, then you are in luck, because I am going to tell you.

The company -- which owns shops in New Orleans, Austin, and Baton Rouge -- was started by a fantastic group of siblings who grew up right here in Monroe. Since I love New Orleans, and since I also love the Harvey kids, I make it a point to stop by the NOLA location every time I am down. (The fact that the shop is located next to Sucré certainly doesn't hurt, either.) Storyville's t-shirt designs almost all come from online contests (which also feature $$$ prizes!), and the shirts are printed fresh daily in the Storyville Print Shop, also located in NOLA. Storyville's products are very location-centric, so if you are from, have visited, or harbor a deep/abiding love of any of the above locales, Storyville is totally for you.

Monroe / They All Asked For Drew / Water Meter / Who Dat Owl

I myself am partial to the Monroe: Better Than West Monroe t-shirt, pictured above, for obvious reasons. It's all in good fun, though -- WM, we still love you. (You are the home of Duck Dynasty, after all.) I also own the NOLA Water Meter shirt, which comes in a million awesome colors, and it gets compliments everywhere I go.

Desire NOLA / Little LouisianaNOLA Seasons / Little Red Crevette / Deep In The Heart

Many of the shirts are printed in baby/kid sizes, like the Little Red Crevette shirt, which I would kind of like to own for myself. Do y'all think I would look cute in a onesie?

Storyville shirts are available in their respective local stores, AND you may also order them online. See all the designs here, and get to ordering! (And please buy extra for me. Thanks.)

I created this outfit mainly so I could tell y'all that Uniqlo now has an online shop. I was just at the actual store last week, and they didn't have that black vest in my size, but guess what? I can order it now. And so can you!

It is very, very cold in our drafty old house, so I am all ready for turtlenecks and hats, and down vests in my size. PS, I have a version of those Madewell oxfords, and they are still going strong after over two years. A worthy investment, I'd say.

Thanks for all the good ideas and well-wishes over the weekend. I am feeling tons better, and can almost turn my head all the way to the left. Heh.

I'm going to need you to send me all of these. Thanks!

I really, really want those navy tights for the holidays. They would be so good with a little shift dress and some sparkly shoes. Also, I'll take the orange ones. And the legs on the model. Find them here: 1 / 2 / 3.

I like it when Etsy does the shopping work for me. I found these awesome geometric necklaces, by BlueBird Lab, in my "Handpicked Items" and now I would like to have them all.

There are regular ones and special limited editions, like the one above.

I cannot really tell what is going on with the clasp, but I love the way it looks. It seems like it might also be adjustable? Always a bonus.

You should, of course, buy several and wear them all at once. Also, they are from Lithuania, so you can be all, "Oh, these? They're from my jeweler in Lithuania."

Y'all, I am really into tassels and poofy accessories right now. If I could have an entire dress made of the tassels on that bracelet, I would wear it EVERY DAY. I am pretty sure this is all Mrs. Lilien's fault -- her love for the tassel is known far and wide.

Anyway, please enjoy these five accessories that I am endeavoring to add to my wardrobe for fall. I think they would add a nice punch to the Elegant Cowgirl uniform. (Although my secret goal is obviously to accrue enough poufs to fashion one of these hair concoctions on my own.)
